  • Visibility: 10m to 30m, depending on wind and stirring from other divers.
  • Level required: All divers, DSD possible there. To see the whole wreck, better to have AOW cert
  • Description: 126m long US transport ship torpedoed by Japanese submarine during WW2, beached in Tulamben, and slipped down along the beach into the near slope after the 1963 Mt Agung eruption. Between 10:00 to 14:00 o’clock it’s very crowded there. Groups of divers arrive at this time with buses. The dive-experience of these divers is very low or sometimes even less than that. A very famous dive site, and its for a very good reason!

  • Activities: Marine biology, Night diving, Orientation, Photography.
  • Marine Life: Resident giant Barracuda (Mr. Frank), large malabar groupers, blue-spotted stingrays and ribbon-tail rays, large school of big eye trevallies, giant trevally, surgeonfish, sweetlips, garden eels, leaf-scorpion fish, heaps of small reef fishes.
